Series 2 brings the holiday cheer to Forza Horizon 5 with all-new challenges and rewards for players to earn. As with each Series, this month-long event takes place over four different seasons. The first week takes players to the Summer season where they can earn several hard-to-find or season-pass-exclusive cars. Below, we've collected everything you need to know about the Summer season in Series 2.

Every Series in Forza Horizon 5 comes with new rewards for players to earn. You'll slowly unlock these as you complete quests and many of these major rewards are exclusive to the season pass. You cannot get these cars from the Autoshow or Wheelspins, making them rarer than many other cars.

The overall Series 2 pass gives players access to a new outfit and car. If you earn 120 points over the course of the month-long season, you'll get the Gingerbread outfit. Earn 200 points and you can hop into the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ. On top of that, this season has a global reward for players sending gifts to each other. If the community sends enough gifts during the season, everyone will get the Santa Outfit and a mystery car.

The rewards don't end there though. The Summer season also has its own reward set. If you get 25 points during the season, you'll pick up the Mercedes-AMG E63. Once you get 45 points, you'll unlock the Maserati 8CTF. Adding these cars to your collection is a nice bonus for working through the pass.

Forzathon Weekly Challenges

This set of weekly challenges is all about the 1993 Nissan 240SX SE. If you don't already have one, you can pick it up for 25,000 Credits. Then, you can start working on completing the four chapters to earn five points and 160 Forzathon points. Here are all four chapters:

  • Own the 1993 Nissan 24S0X SE
  • Tune the 240SX until you can reach 175 MPH (just look for popular tunes)
  • Earn 10 Ulitmate Drift Skills
  • Win 4 Street Race Events

These are all pretty easy to complete, so you should definitely do them if you're trying to earn the seasonal rewards.

Forzathon Daily Challenges

Each day in the Summer season brings a new Daily Challenge to complete. Each of these gives a single point toward the pass and a few Forzathon points. Here they all are:

  • Bank 250,000 Skill Points
  • Drive three different cars in a single game of the Eliminator
  • Smash 5 Phonebooths (search around towns)
  • Win a Cross Country Race in an Offroad car
  • Take a picture at the Horizon Wilds Outpost
  • Complete three different Event Blueprints
  • Buy three cars

Forzathon Shop

Each week, you can buy new cars in the shop for Forzathon points. Below are this week's offerings:

  • Mercedes-Benz #24 M-B Truck FE - 600 FP
  • Ford Shelby GT500 - 200 FP
  • Bugatti EB110 Super Sport - 400 FP
  • Ford #2069 Ford Performance Bronco R - 300 FP

This is where you'll be making the bulk of your points. The Forzathon points are an easy way to rack up quick points, but these races and events have the better rewards in terms of total points available. You don't have to complete all of them to finish the pass, but you'll want to as many as possible.

We've collected every event, its reward, and any car requirements you'll need to keep in mind. After that, we'll give you some insight into which cars to use for a few events where you might want some extra guidance.

Best Cars to Compete in The Trial: Elf on the Shelf

This is a race against Unbeatable Drivatars where you're competing as a team with other racers. We recommend trying to put together your own squad instead of competing with randoms, but if that's not possible you'll just have to rely on others.

In terms of cars, you have a few options that you can pick up for around 250,00 Credits. We'd recommend the 2018 Porsche Macan LPR Rally Raid or the 2014 Ford Ranger T6 Rally Raid, though make sure to tune yours up to the maximum rating of 700 before going into the race.

Best Cars to Compete in the Eventlab: Super Final Presents

You can race this on the lowest difficulty if you want, so the car doesn't really matter. That said, we went with our old standby, the 1994 Hoonigan Ford Escort RS Cosworth WRC "Cossive V2." Just knock over as many bowling pins as possible and you should complete this easily.

Best Cars to Compete in the Seasonal Playground Games: Ready, Set, Glow

You can use any A Class car in this race, so we recommend checking out our Best A Class Car guide. We'd go with something like the 1968 Dodge Dart Hemi Super Stock.

Best Cars for the Danger Sign: Desert Dunes

This event requires a car with some get-up, making Speed and Acceleration important. To that end, we like the 1991 Hoonigan Gymkhana 10 Ford Escort Cosworth Group A. It has solid stats across the board, making for a great option. You could also use something like the 2019 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Forza Edition if you need something a bit cheaper.

Best Cars for the Speed Trap: Estadio

This Speed Trap will ask you to hit a speed of 180 MPH, which means you'll likely need to tune whichever Classic Muscle car you use. We went with the 1968 Dodge Dart Hemi Super Stock though you can use any eligible car you own. Just make sure you get the tuning right.

Best Cars for the Speed Zone: Riviera Maya

Again, you might need to do some tuning to hit the speeds you need. That said, the 1969 Hot Wheels Twin Mill should be enough to get you through this one.

Best Cars to Compete in the Seasonal Championship: Toys Under the Tree

This race will pit you against Highly Skilled Drivatars, making it a relatively tough race. That said, if you're looking for a good Track Toy, we'd recommend the 2018 Lamborghini Huracan Performante or the 2010 Maserati Gran Turismo S Forza Edition. Both should help you fly through this competition.

Best Cars to Compete in the Seasonal Championship: Good Tidings We Bring

For this race, we like the 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR. It's a solid all-around car that should help you get through this set of races. An alternative might be something like the 2015 Subaru Impreza WRX STI.

Best Cars to Compete in the Seasonal Championship: Yule the Boss

You'll need to use some version of the Ford Mustang for this one. Don't go with any of the drift versions. Instead, stick to something like the 2016 Ford Shelby GT350R.

Treasure Hunt: Blazing Thunder

As of this writing, this quest appears to be bugged. You need to get three stars at a Trailblazing event, but if you've already gotten three stars at each event, you won't be able to complete this. Hopefully, Playground Games fixes this soon. For finishing, you'll get three points for the Season Pass and 50,000 Credits.

Photo Challenge: #MerryLilLambo

Use the screenshot above to help you find the Mulege Holiday Market. Once you've purchased the 1997 Lamborghini Diablo SV, you'll be ready to head over and snap a photo. Your reward is two points for the Season Pass and a new Forza Link reward.

Horizon Open: Road Racer and The Eliminator

Both of these are online events. Simply hop into matchmaking and start them up. You'll need to finish 30th or better in The Eliminator, but that should happen after a few matches at worst. Completing both will give you four points, 25,000 Credits, and the "Last Man Standing!" Forza Link.

Monthly Rivals: Catherdal Circuit

Nothing much to do here, simply finish a lap and pick up your four points for the Season Pass.
